Before heading to Coron Palawan, Ryan and I were thinking to just eat at Coron Bistro everyday. It was the only restaurant that we liked from our visit 3 years ago. We tried few restaurants there but the food just wasn't good especially for the price, to be fair though the servings were big but we'd rather pay more for a better food.
So this time we decided that we'll have all our meals at Coron Bistro. But the hotel where we stayed at was a bit far. Luckily we found Santino's Grill. The place is cozy with it's typical nipa hut as setting.
On our first day Ryan tried their best seller baby backribs ( which I forgot to take photo because we were all so hungry. :D He thought it was really good and decided it will be his meal the whole stay in Coron until he tried the Sizzling Bulalo Steak then he changed his mind again. Haha. The Bulalo steak was really tender and tasty.
Other dishes that we tried that were sinigang na bangus, crispy
kangkong, crispy chicken neck, chicharong bulakalak, chicharong pork
liempo, kangkong sautéed in garlic and oyster sauce. Honestly all these
were tasty and reasonably priced. The only downside of this place is
that service tends to be really slow but I'll pick slow service than
mediocre food. :)
