Thai Green Mango Salad

Sweet, Sour, Savoury, and Spicy. Those are the four words that would best describe this salad that i made last night. :D

Ryan and I looooves thai food so when my sister brought me green mangoes few days ago i wasted no time and head to grocery to make green mango salad thai style. :D

1/2 cup of basil leaves (roughly chopped)
4 spring  green onions (sliced)
handful of roasted peanuts or cashews (chopped or ground)
Cooked chicken (sliced into bite size)

 Dressing:

3 tbsp lime juice or calamansi juice is fine also
1 tbsp sugar (to taste)

Sunday Cravings

10.21.13
I was craving for oysters last night so Ryan and I ended up at Via Mare Oyster bar at Greenbelt 3.  Via Mare has been one of my go to filipino restaurants for a long time now. They never disappoint me. I'll make a complete post of my dining experience with them soon since last night we didn't really ordered much. I got binagoongan crispy pork belly and oysters combination. I only wanted fresh oysters but Ryan pointed out the baked oysters and it got me curious so I got the combo. Half was raw and the other half was baked. But I regretted it after. I should  have just got the fresh ones. :( I really like the taste and texture of fresh oysters top with lemon juice and some herbs and chili. Aargh, next time I will just stick to what I like for my full satisfaction. :D

The crispy pork belly did really live up to its name. It was really crispy and delicious.

After our dinner we headed to Hossein's Persian Kebab so Ryan can have his cravings too, Sisha. :D

Since I don't really smoke I just settled to their strawberry fruit lassie.
And that's how our sunday night ended. :D

Sailing Snorkeling and Swimming in Coron Palawan

It's been over 2 weeks since we came back from our Palawan trip. I must say it was really enjoyable and unforgettable experience that I'm still hungover from it. I was so happy to be back at one of my most favorite place in the Philippines and this time Khenzie was with us so it made the trip even more unforgettable.

I wanted this trip to be stress free so i just availed of the services of our hotel Sunrise Pension House.

Touchdown Busuanga
We landed in Busuanga Airport around 10:30 am via Cebu Pacific Air. From the waiting area our driver approached us then we boarded into the air- conditioned van and headed off Coron town.

The travel time took about 30 minutes. Driving through this Jurassic Park -esque was very nice. Mountains after mountains with thousands of birds and cattle roaming freely.  :D

Shortly after we arrive at the hotel it started raining really hard that all we could do was to stay in our room and watch tv. For our dinner, Mommy Glo (the owner) cooked a very delicious dinner for us, spicy crab cooked with coconut milk, squid and pork adobo.

Day 2 .....

While Ryan decided to do some wreck diving Clinton and I decided to do the Coron Island Tour. The tour includes 5 sites.
