The lunch at Loboc River Cruise was one of the things I was really looking forward on our trip to Bohol. Imagine having lunch on a floating native restaurant and enjoying the beautiful sight of lush trees and jade-green river. So peaceful right? ;) But that didn't happen. sob* sob* There was almost no view to enjoy while cruising because at the middle of our trip it started raining really hard that they needed to put down the plastic curtain. The cruise lasts for about one hour.
There are few floating restaurant to choose from but we booked our lunch at Loboc River Watch because according to our tour guide this restaurant serves better quality food. The food was mainly Filipino cuisine like fried chicken, crabs cooked in coconut, grilled fish, pansit bihon and green beans with shrimp. For the fruits and desserts they had watermelon, pineapple, mango and puto (filipino rice cake). The food was just ok, it wasn't bad but wasn't great either. While cruising, they will stop at some platform in the river so we can watch the locals serenading us with their native songs and dance and sometimes they would even ask tourists to join them.
